Police before dawn Monday arrested a 25-year-old Danbury man and charged him with driving under the influence.
At about 2:20 a.m. on May 3, an officer on patrol saw a vehicle parked on Heather Drive with its headlights on, according to a police report.
The engine was still running, and on approaching the vehicle, the officer saw vomit in the road near the front driver’s-side door, the report said.
The officer saw the man sleeping in the driver’s seat, it said.
On speaking with him, the officer saw signs that the man was impaired, police said.
After administering field sobriety tests, police took the man into custody. He refused to submit a sample to establish his blood-alcohol level, police said.
He was released on $250 bond and scheduled to appear June 2 in state Superior Court.
