Police on June 1 arrested a 37-year-old Norwalk man and charged him with driving under the influence.

At about 11:25 p.m. on May 31 (a Saturday), an officer on patrol saw a car run a stop sign as it left the Park Street Lot, according to a police report.

During a subsequent stop, the officer smelled alcohol on the driver’s breath and noticed other signs of impairment, the report said.

After conducting field sobriety tests, police brought the misdemeanor charge, it said.

During processing at police headquarters, the man refused to provide breath samples to establish his blood-alcohol level, the report said.

He was additionally cited for failure to drive right.

Police released the man on $300 bond and scheduled him to appear June 13 in state Superior Court.

The case has been statutorily sealed, according to Connecticut Judicial Branch records.

Oddly, the man is now scheduled for arraignment in June 2026, the records show.
