Police on Nov. 13 arrested a 38-year-old Echo Hill Road man by warrant and charged him with driving under the influence in connection with a crash from September.
The man turned himself in to authorities at about 8:18 a.m. on Nov. 13, according to a police report.
The arrest warrant had been issued as a result of an investigation into a Sept. 12 crash, police said.
It wasn’t clear where the crash occurred, how the police established probable cause for the DUI charge, whether other vehicles were involved, whether there was property damage or injuries, or what the man’s blood-alcohol level was.
Asked for the New Canaan Police arrest warrant application, the criminal court clerk at state Superior Court in Stamford said that there’s no public record of the arrest.
According to Connecticut Judicial Branch records, the case has been statutorily sealed.
Police additionally cited the New Canaan man for failure to drive in the proper lane.
He was released on $10,000 bond and scheduled to appear Nov. 24 in state Superior Court. According to Judicial Branch records, he has not yet pleaded and now is scheduled for arraignment Feb. 3.
