New Canaan Library Welcomes Charlotte McConaghy, Author of Once There Were Wolves, Speaking Via Live Webinar
Tuesday, November, 23, 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Free New Canaan Library is pleased to welcome Charlotte McConaghy, author of the international bestseller Migrations, to speak about her latest release, Once There Were Wolves. Ms. McConaghy will speak via live webinar from her home in Australia on Tuesday, November 23, 7 PM EST. Zoom sign in information will be provided upon registration at newcanaanlibrary.org.
At the heart of Ms. McConaghy’s new novel is the environmental experiment to successfully reintroduce wolves to the barren Scottish Highlands. Leading the team of biologists tasked with the reintroduction are Inti Flynn and her twin siter, Aggie. Inti hopes to heal not only the dying landscape, but Aggie as well, undone by the terrible secrets that drove them from Alaska. Inti struggles too, with the burden of the harm she’s witnessed—both to the landscape and between humans. Just as the wolves surprisingly begin to thrive, and Inti and Aggie begin to heal and open themselves up to new possibilities and relationships, the discovery of a farmer’s body lays suspicion and blame on the wolves. If the wolves were not responsible, might the prime suspect be Inti’s new love interest?
