The town Building Department last week received an application for a 7,000-square-foot home in northeastern New Canaan.
The six-bedroom home planned for the vacant lot at 322 Dan’s Highway will include five full bathrooms, two half-baths, two fireplaces and a three-car garage, according to the June 7 building permit application.
Its finished basement will included media, rec, wine and exercise rooms, the application said.
It will cost about $975,000 to build, it said.
The contractor on the job is Woodcrest Homes of Jericho, N.Y., the architect Dennis Peters Designs of Wilton.
The prior home on the two-acre property suffered extensive damage in a November 2019 fire. The remaining structure was demolished after the town issued a demo permit in February 2020. The property was sold in March for $1,025,000 to a limited liability company, tax records show.
