The New Canaan Building Department on Oct. 20 received an application for a 3,714-square-foot home on Hawthorne Road.
The five-bedroom house at 59 Hawthorne Road will include five full bathrooms, two half-baths and 11 rooms in total, according to the application.
It will cost about $1,750,000 to build, the application said.
The architect on the job is Christopher Pagliaro Architects of Darien, and the contractor has yet-to-be-determined, it said.
The .37-acre property includes a 1951-built, 1,488-square-foot ranch-style home, according to tax records. It was purchased in July for $1,250,000, the tax records show.
