Police last week arrested a 33-year-old Michigan man in connection with an infraction offense for which he was ticketed five years ago.
The Grosse Point, Mich. man in May 2011 had been cited for Soliciting Without a Permit in New Canaan, according to a police report.
At about 5 p.m. Thursday, police in Guilford contacted NCPD saying that they had the man in custody on the department’s warrant, issued when he had failed to pay or plead, the report said.
It isn’t clear how Guilford police came into contact with the man, police said.
He was charged with failure to appear and scheduled to appear in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
