Police last week arrested a 44-year-old Millport Avenue man by warrant and charged him with tampering, interfering and possession of a controlled substance.
At about 10:06 p.m. on Sept. 30 (a Friday), officers were dispatched to the parking lot of Millport Apartments on a report of the man fighting with another person, police said.
While officers investigated the incident, the man tried to destroy evidence at the scene, according to a police report. Police later found that the man was in possession of cocaine, the report said.
On Feb. 24, police took the man into custody at his Millport Avenue home, it said.
He was released on $25,000 bond and scheduled to appear March 10 in state Superior Court.
Police withheld additional details on the arrest, saying it stemmed from a domestic matter.
