Woman, 24, Charged After Throwing Glass in Restaurant

Police on Sunday afternoon arrested a 24-year-old Stamford woman who threw a glass cup of water at someone in a restaurant downtown.

At about 12:54 p.m. on March 14, officers were dispatched to Spiga Restaurant on Main Street regarding a dispute that had just occurred, according to a police report.

Following an investigation, police determined that the woman had thrown a glass cup full of water in the direction of the victim, the report said. The cup broke and water sprayed onto the victim, it said.

Police charged the woman with second-degree breach of peace, a misdemeanor offense.

She was released after promising to appear April 14 in state Superior Court.
