Police last week arrested a 24-year-old man after finding a drugs in his lost wallet.
At about 6:50 p.m. on Aug. 28, an officer was dispatched to the lobby of police headquarters on a report of a lost wallet that had been found at the train station downtown, officials said.
The officer looked through the wallet in order to identify its owner, and found it to be the Brooklyn, N.Y. man, according to a police report.
In the search of the wallet, police found a powdery substance in a small plastic bag in its billfold area that later tested positive for methamphetamines, the report said.
The man agreed to come to headquarters to reclaim his wallet, and he was arrested and charged there with possession of a controlled substance.
He was held on $1,000 bond and scheduled to appear Sept. 10 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
