For the second time in the past month, New Canaan Police arrested a 49-year-old Lakeview Avenue man in connection with a domestic incident.

At about 9:17 p.m. on Oct. 3 (a Friday), officers responded to a residence there on a report of a possible violation of a protective order. Through an investigation, police found the man to be in violation and charged him with the felony offense, as he had been in September.

He also was charged with first-degree criminal trespass. Under state law, a person is guilty of the misdemeanor offense when, “Knowing that such person is not licensed or privileged to do so, such person enters or remains in a building or any other premises after an order to leave or not to enter personally communicated to such person by the owner of the premises or other authorized person.”

It wasn’t clear how the man violated the protective order or what his relationship is with the victim. Police withheld details, saying it’s a domestic matter.

The man was released on $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear Oct. 6 in state Superior Court. His arraignment now is scheduled for Dec. 2, according to Connecticut Judicial Branch records. His lawyer is Waterbury-based Robert Anthony Famiglietti, the records show.
