The New Canaan Building Department has issued a permit for a 5,448-square-foot home on Douglas Road.
The five-bedroom house at 121 Douglas Road will include five bathrooms and two half-baths, according to the permit issued Aug. 6.
It will have a partially finished basement and attic, with a gym in the basement and an office in the attic.
It will cost about $900,000 to build, the permit said.
The contractor on the job is Lecher Development LLC, the architect Steven Lecher Associates LLC, both of Bridgeport.
The .32-acre property, including a 1945-built, 1,401-square-foot Cape, was purchased by a limited liability company in June for $1,050,000, tax records show. The owner has not yet applied for a demolition permit, according to the property’s assessor field card.
