New Canaan Police investigated a report of a damaged mailbox on Route 123 near the Merritt Parkway’s Exit 38 interchange, received at 5:44 p.m. on May 10. There are no suspects and the investigation has been closed, police said. ***

New Canaan Police at 11:43 a.m. on April 28 responded to a report that a fire extinguisher had been deployed inside the building at 47 Elm St. That’s the same address of the commercial building that houses Ralph Lauren. ***

New Canaan Police at 9:42 a.m. on April 22 received a report of a vehicle stolen out of a homeowner’s garage on White Oak Shade Road. A stolen vehicle out of Hamden was left behind and recovered at the scene, police said. The investigation is ongoing. ***
