Police are investigating a 62-year-old Siwanoy Lane man’s report that several hundred dollars worth of electronics had been stolen from his 2003 Honda S-2000, parked in a driveway there, between the morning of Oct. 2 and about 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 6.
The vehicle had been unlocked and showed no signs of forced entry, according to Sgt. Carol Ogrinc of the New Canaan Police Department.
Items taken include: Valentine 1 Radar Detector ($500), Bluetooth AT&T headset with charger ($80), phone car charger ($40), and a U.S. Apple iPhone 5 USB cord ($20). It was reported at 12:15 p.m. on Oct. 7.

A 54-year-old Millport Avenue man at 8:58 a.m. on Oct. 10 told police that someone had enough of his personal information to file a federal tax return in his name.
He learned of the suspected ID theft when he went to file his 2013 taxes and was denied by the IRS, who told him that in September he had filed a claim for $8,400, according to a police report.
No money was lost, police said.

Police are investigating a report that a credit card issued by a bank in China and belonging to a 75-year-old Park Street woman saw about $40,000 in fraudulent charges at New York City Target stores between Sept. 2 and 22.
The woman’s daughter contacted police at 5:53 p.m. on Oct. 6 to report the fraud.

Police patrolling the Talmadge Hill Road railroad lots discovered a 2015 BMW that had been reported stolen out of Stamford.
The vehicle was parked in a back corner of the upper lot, Ogrinc said.

A 67-year-old Summer Street man at 10:47 a.m. on Oct. 13 told police that $400 in copper pieces was taken from a small trailer in his backyard. He last saw them at about 5 p.m. on Oct. 12, police said. They’re investigating.
