Charles E. Milot Jr., age 95, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Patricia Duffy Milot, passed away peacefully on January 31, with his loving family by his side.

Born in Poughkeepsie, New York, on February 18, 1930, he was one of eight children born to Charles E. Milot Sr. and Lillian Bell Milot.

He was raised in Stratford in a home overlooking his beloved Longbrook Park. It was here that he developed a lifelong love of sports, spending countless days playing and watching all kinds of athletic events.

Chuck graduated from Stratford High School in 1949, where he played basketball and baseball.  He served in the United States Air Force for four years and was assigned to Special Services where he played and coached baseball and basketball at Scott Air Force Base in St. Louis and Ellington Air Force Base in Houston.

Upon his discharge, he enrolled at the University of Bridgeport. There he met the love of his life, Patricia Duffy. Chuck earned his B.S., M.A. and Sixth Year degrees. While at UB, he played baseball and basketball serving as captain his senior year.

After graduation, Chuck married Patricia and began his teaching career in New Canaan. He taught physical education at Center School and West School and later served as Assistant Principal. He coached baseball at New Canaan High School and basketball at Sacred Heart University.  He went on to become Athletic Director at Pomperaug High School in Southbury.

Chuck spent his summers at the Lake Club in Wilton where he served as Club Manager for 40 years. A devoted parishioner, he was an avid churchgoer and served as usher for many years at St. Theresa’s Church in Trumbull.

He adored his family. Many of his children and grandchildren were involved in high school and college sports and Chuck and Pat loved traveling to watch their games and matches. He also enjoyed playing tennis and golf and rooting for his favorite Villanova Wildcats basketball team.

In addition to his beloved wife of 65 years, Patricia, survivors include his three loving children, Anne Spillane (Mark), Charles E. Milot III (Alix), and Nancy Brown (Bill), seven cherished grandchildren, Chet Milot (Katie), Molly Milot Segala (Zach), Daniel Spillane, Sarah Spillane, Billy Brown, Taylor Brown and Chris Brown, two adored great-grandchildren, Millie Milot and Charlie Milot; a brother, Edward Milot of Danbury; a sister, Nancy Duhamel of Newtown, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Ray Milot, and four sisters, Ann Shpunt, Marge Check, Joan Clark, and Kathy Ohlott.

Calling hours will be Friday, February 13th from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 14th at 10:30am in St. Theresa’s Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. A private burial will be held for the family.
