From monarchs to swallowtails, the meadow provides the perfect location for observing and learning about butterflies. Registration: Advanced registration is required and costs $5 per person.

New Canaan Land Trust Labyrinth: Talk and Walk on Eve of Summer Solstice

On the eve of the summer solstice, New Canaan Land Trust invites you to join artist and professor Christopher Kaczmarek to visit the Labyrinth at Watson-Symington Preserve. The Labyrinth is a seven-circuit classic labyrinth 60-foot in diameter, created by Kaczmarek for the New Canaan Sculpture Trail 2020. Kaczmarek will offer an informal talk about the history of seven-circuit labyrinths and the making of the New Canaan Labyrinth from local stones gathered at the preserve. The outdoor talk will be followed by a meditative walk through the labyrinth.
