A 60-year-old Locust Avenue man has been arrested on a misdemeanor charge for sunbathing in the nude in the backyard of a multi-family home, in plain view of those located on the upper-floor apartments.
After an 80-year-old fellow resident of the home complained to police about the nudist, at about 11 a.m. on Aug. 25, officers walked around back of the home and came upon the offender during a sunbathing session. The man lies on the ground to sunbathe in the nude, and shields himself from those on ground level with sheets, according to a police report.
While police were there, a woman who also lives at the home said the nudist is out back “all the time” and that she was uncomfortable but never lodged an official complaint, the report said.
Police charged him with second-degree breach of peace. He was released after promising to appear Sept. 11 in state Superior Court in Norwalk.
