The New Canaan Building Department on June 4 received an application to build a two-family dwelling on Forest Street. Each unit at 160 Forest St. will include two bedrooms, one full bathroom, one half-bath, a full basement and an attached one-car garage, according to the application. They’ll have eight rooms and about 2,236 square feet apiece, the application said. The project will cost about $1.4 million to build, it said.
The New Canaan Building Department last week received an application to construct a 6,000-square-foot home on Ponus Ridge. The five-bedroom home planned for 959 Ponus Ridge includes five full bathrooms, one half-bath, a partially finished basement and an attached three-car garage, according to the application.
It will cost about $1 million to build, the application said. The contractor on the job is Pasqualo Guzzo of Seymour, the architect New York City-based Tesoro Architects, it said. The vacant 2.54-acre parcel, located in the two-acre zone, was purchased last September for $1,295,000, tax records show.
Town officials on April 24 received an application to build a new, six-bedroom home on Country Club Road. The approximately 5,450-square-foot home planned for 274 Country Club Road will include seven bathrooms and a finished basement, as well as an attached four-car garage, according to a building permit application.
It will cost about $1.5 million to build, the application said. The contractor on the job will be Coastal Luxury Homes, the architect Tanner White Architects, both of Westport, it said. The two-acre property had been purchased in March 2021 for $1,340,000, tax records show. It includes a 1790-built, 3,723-square-foot home, the records show.
The New Canaan Building Department last week received an application to build an 8,197-square-foot home on Dunning Road. The four-bedroom house planned for 37 Dunning Road will include five full bathrooms, two half-baths, a two-car garage and rec, wine and exercise rooms in a finished basement, according to the March 14 application.
The 2.36-acre property, purchased in December for $1,425,000, currently includes an 1894-built, 3,493-square-foot, four-bedroom home, tax records show. The contractor on the planned building project is Woodcrest Homes LLC of Jericho, N.Y., the architect Dennis Peters Designs of Wilton, the application said.
The New Canaan Building Department on Tuesday received an application to install a 5,016-square-foot modular home on Pocconock Trail. The new house at 107 Pocconok Trail will include four bedrooms and four full bathrooms, according to a building permit application.
Work planned for the 2.17 parcel includes demolition of a 1963-built split-level currently on the property, while preserving the foundation and expanding it to match the proposed modular dwelling, the application said. The home will include a fireplace and an attic to be used only for storage. It will cost about $700,000, the application said. The contractor on the job will be Fairfield Contractors LLC of Stamford, the architect Icon Legacy Custom Modular Homes of Selinsgrove, Pa.
